Lies of P, the recent RPG adventure in the Souls-like genre developed by Neowiz Games, is centered around its core gameplay: high-quality boss battles. Each level in the game features a mandatory final boss, and several also offer optional ones that aren't required for progression but offer high-quality rewards if defeated.
Consequently, just before the region where you'll confront the primary boss, you'll encounter a potentially secondary boss. This encounter isn't entirely optional since you won't be able to advance further in the game until you've defeated this enemy.
If you're struggling with this boss, here's a straightforward method to defeat it. Additionally, remember that there's also a cheesy strategy available for this boss, so if you prefer, you can utilise that approach as well.
How to beat Mad Clown Puppet boss
The boss encounter with the Mad Clown Puppet takes place in a highly unique arena—a flaming, hilly street, although it doesn't necessarily have to be that way. Given that the boss is accompanied by puppet enemies armed with flamethrowers, a wise approach is to eliminate them first.
Initiate by eliminating the enemy positioned behind the gate who is setting it ablaze. Move swiftly to evade the fireball the boss hurls in your direction. Start climbing the hill and provoke the flamethrower-wielding puppets, then retreat to cover and pick them off one by one.
For the cheesy method, stack up on throwables of all kinds and provoke the boss. Keep your distance from him to avoid being hit and to keep him in range of your throwables. As he approaches, go backwards and hit him with throwables. The place where the first puppet was setting the gate on fire is his invisible limit, and when the boss comes to this limit, he will return to where he came from. Follow him, land a couple of blows, and retreat. If you keep doing this, the boss will soon fall.
