In a recent update on the PBE servers, Riot Games has unveiled a valuable new feature for League of Legends called "Display Champion Sound Notification."
This feature introduces on-screen alerts for Global and Semi-Global Abilities, enhancing the gaming experience and accessibility for all players.
Previously, abilities like Kled Ultimate, Sion Ultimate, and Corki Package relied solely on auditory cues to alert players. However, with Display Champion Sound Notification, players will now receive visual cues, making it easier to identify when a champion has used a Global or Semi-Global Ability.
Enabling Display Champion Sound Notification
Activating this feature is a straightforward process:
- Open the League of Legends Client.
- Enter a game.
- Access the Options menu and navigate to the 'Interface' Tab.
- Under the 'Interface' Tab, you'll discover a new section named "Accessibility."
- Look for the "Display Champion Sound Notification" option.
- Select this option, and then close the Settings Tab.
Now, every time an enemy champion like Briar, Sion or Kled casts their ultimate, you'll receive a visual notification on your screen.
Release Date
Currently, this feature is available for testing on the PBE servers and is expected to be rolled out to the live servers with Patch 13.19.
The patch is scheduled to go live on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, so players can soon enjoy this new enhancement to their League of Legends experience.
