Hades 2, the latest hack-and-slash, rogue-like action RPG from Supergiant Games, is a game that features a fantastic story with deep roots in Greek mythology. Given that the story is a very important part of the game, it's just natural that you don't want to miss any of it during your gameplay.
Since the story is told quite differently than it is video games' custom, meaning you must speak with NPCs a lot, there is a pattern you must follow in order to pick up every single piece of the story.
In this guide, we will tell you what to do to do exactly that, which means to whom you must speak, and which markers you shouldn't miss if you want to follow the story to the very end and beyond.
What to do to get most of the story in Hades 2
Given that the genre of Hades 2 is rogue-like, you can expect to die a lot in this game; it is just the way the game is designed. With every failed run, you will be returned to the place called Crossroads; at least that's the case at the game's beginning, and since most of the story is revealed during this period of the game, this place will most likely be the place where you will spend the most of your in-game time.
Once you are respawned, talk to Nora; she is inside Melinoë's tent. Leave the tent and make your way to the main area of Crossroads. Here, you can speak to Hecate; she is always staying above the great cauldron if she's not away. Just to the right of the cauldron is Odysseus; always speak to him. Now go beneath the cauldron, where you can speak to Nemesis.
You can try to speak to Hypnos as well, but it is a lost effort; he's always asleep. You won't get much from him. Now, enter the next area and talk to Schelemeus, the training master; he will also have some useful information for you after each run.
Try to look for the yellow blinking dots and interact with them. They are the lore tellers left by Homer, so interact with each one to deepen your understanding of the game's lore. And most importantly, always follow what the other gods have to say to you when they offer help. Those conversations are a very important part of the story, so don't miss them out.
DON'T MISS!
