Creatures of Ava, the latest action RPG from 11 Bit Studious, is a very interesting game with mechanics not often seen in gaming. While most other games revolve their gameplay around killing enemies and using weapons for destruction, Creatures of Ava uses a slightly different, rather peaceful approach.
Every action inside the game is focused on saving and not killing creatures, and this change of pace is really welcomed in video games because something different usually means something good.
One of this game's core mechanics is taming creatures using a very special tool, the lute. However, since the game doesn't explain how to use this tool or how to tame creatures in the first place, we are here to show you exactly that.
How to tame creatures in Creatures of Ava
First of all, to tame creatures and be able to interact with them, you'll first need to get the flute. The flute can be obtained very early in the game, and it is story-related, meaning you cannot miss it even if you want to.
Once you have the flute, approach the group of any creatures in the open world and notice small music note signs appearing above their heads. Get close enough to them, but not too close because they will run away, and watch small white indicators showing three or more directions repeatedly.
Memorise the sequence, press the left button on the D-pad, and copy the same sequence you just saw showing above their heads. You mustn't be overly precise, because even if you play a bit of another note, it will still count. Once you play the correct sequence, the creatures will start following you. In this state, you'll be able to pet them or send them to your ship, provided there is a tool for that in your vicinity.
DON'T MISS!
