It seems that the forum warriors are getting to Blizzard and the company now rolled out a new Overwatch patch on the Public Test Realm, continuing to nerf Brigitte while buffing Bastion, McCree, Torbjorn and tweaking Doomfist a bit.
Much like the earlier update that brought Busan and nerfed Brigitte, the new patch is also aimed against her shield bash ability. While the last patch made sure that charging enemies no longer fall to Brigitte's shield bash induced clutch-stun, the new one means shield bash can no longer "travel or stun targets through barriers."
Blizzard explained the changes by once again conceding that shield bash "often feels difficult to counter", which probably feels like an understatement for anyone who's found themselves on the receiving end of it. That being said, the company expect that the change will make life much easier for Overwatch's shield tanks when encountering Brigitte.
Bastion has received some Blizzard love as his recon configuration ammo is up from 25 to 35. As for his sentry mode, Overwatch's bird-loving robot is getting a buff in the fire spread department, i.e. spread while firing is reduced by up to 33 per cent. The company explains that the change is meant to offset the disadvantages of his bulky frame in recon mode and the immobility of the sentry mode.
Doomfist has had a tweak pass as well, with Blizzard writing that "the loss of air control on rising uppercut was a frustrating mechanic". They've dialled it down from 3 to 0.6 seconds as a result, hoping it to be decent middle ground. His seismic slam's maximum range is down from 20 to 15 meters as well.
McCree's alternate fire damage has been buffed from 45 to 55, as Blizzard found that the peacekeeper's salvo was not as effective against Overwatch's high health heroes as much as they'd have liked.
Soldier 76's tactical visor will no longer make helix rockets auto-target enemies, while Torbjorn's molten core damage was buffed from 130 to 160 per second.
