Fast Travel Games - working on a VR title

Fast Travel Games' co-founder Erik Odeldahl is working on the studio's first game. The studio from Stockholm recently raised over £2.2 million. The funds will be put towards the development of their first game and expansion of the team.

If you've been waiting for your chance to jump aboard the VR train then this may be the perfect timing, as nine PlayStation VR titles got some sweet discounts in the US, including Gran Turismo, The Inpatient, Wipeout Omega Collection, etc.

Portal themed demo showcases Knuckles EV2

Valve released a new Portal themed demo called Moondust with a purpose to showcase their Knuckles EV2 which are virtual reality controllers. The new controllers are going to ship out to hundreds of developers for testing according to Valve.

Japan seems to be infatuated with VRChat as it is cited as the main reason behind the shortage of HTC Vive VR system shortage in shops across the country. Several shops have reported that the weekly supply simply doesn't meet the demand.

Amazon discounts at least 10 PSVR games

Hot on the heels of Oculus Go's launch and resulting cheapness overload, Amazon discounted as much as 10 PlayStation Virtual Reality games so if you're waiting for a chance to hop aboard the VR train, this is probably a smart time to do so.

Several sites seem to be reporting PlayStation 5 'devkits' being sent out and detail the power and capabilities of the system with relative precision. The sites have previously been known to somehow know the specifics of certain products.

Bethesda release TESV:Skyrim for VR platforms

Ever since it's release in 2011, Bethesda have clung to Skyrim, releasing the game on everything possible including grandma's flip phone. Now they have released it for further VR devices, where it was previously only available on PSVR.

PSVR gets a 25 per cent price reduction

It appears that VR prices are dropping like flies, and in the latest VR slasher Sony have reduced the PSVR price from £349.99/$399 to £259.99/$299. This is the biggest reduction in the VR scene when comparing to the previous full price.

HTC Vive Pro price announced

Oculus Rift user has surpassed HTC Vive numbers on Steam two weeks ago. HTC are now looking to turn the tables on Oculus with their new HTC Vive Pro release. The new VR headset will cost £800, and the regular Vive will go down to £500.

HTC - Viveport's big update and new tech revealed

HTC is working on their own sales platform - Viveport. An update will add a VR Preview feature to the service. A Viveport VR subscription service is also available. The company is working on a new headset - Vive Pro.

Star Trek: Bridge Crew got a non-VR option

Ubisoft and Red Storm have removed the VR requirement from their Star Trek: Bridge Crew. The game is now playable on PlayStation 4 and PC without a VR headset. Cross-play between VR and non-VR users is enabled.

DECEMBER 26

Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition out now

Capcom's Resident Evil 7 biohazard Gold Edition is now available for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Owners of the base game can download Not a Hero DLC for free. End of Zoe DLC is included in Gold Edition, and it's also available to download as an update if you are a Season Pass owner.

EA's deal to acquire Respawn finalized

EA announced an agreement to acquire Respawn Entertainment on 09 November, 2017. On 01 December, they've announced that the acquisition on the "terms previously disclosed" has been finalized. "Under the agreement [between EA and Respawn], EA will pay $151 million in cash, and up to $164 million in long-term equity" EA said.
