Nacon announced that the Rally Star DLC for WRC 9 is now available along with a competition that will last for six months.

WRC 9 received the new Rally Star DLC which brought a somewhat unusual competition in the game. At least it's unusual for those not familiar with their regular workings.

Anyway, KT Racing Studio and FIA collaborated on this new competitive mode that brings a worldwide program that could potentially find future rally drivers among the gamers.

From February to August 2021, the organisations will put together 12 online trials to be held for the most promising drivers in the game. The first phase will be open only for the drivers between ages 17 to 26. Furthermore, they will only be able to drive the new M-Sport Ford Fiesta Rally3.

Winning one of those 12 trials will earn the players qualification to one of the six continental finals and when those are through, the best seven drivers will be enrolled in an exclusive FIA training and practice program. One of the slots is reserved for a woman.

The best of those few will continue with two seasons in the FIA Junior WRC, which is quite the way of starting a career but it remains to be seen how well the candidates will actually pan out in real-life situations.

You can find more information on the official FIA Rally Star page.
