Apex Legends saw Wraith be the fan favourite since the game's release and she never showed signs of relenting. Respawn announced they would clip her wings some more in the future though.
Respawn Entertainment released Apex Legends on February 4, 2019, and from that moment onward, Wraith constantly had a high pick rate as well as win rate which obviously meant she was overtuned, besides being fun to play and crafted to carry by being the top fragger.
The devs already nerfed her this year by making the Tactical ability, Into the Void, have a windup so it can't be used to quickly interrupt a losing gunfight but that didn't dissuade players from picking Wraith or winning with her.
Respawn's senior game designer, Daniel Klein, confirmed as much in The Third Party podcast , where he described the planned changes to the character.
Most importantly, he noted Wraith's kit will remain as it is for now as the team didn't want to nerf it further. The part they will touch upon is the matter of her hitbox, which is proving problematic and they are hoping to deal with Wraith the same way they did with Pathfinder. When the team balanced the robot, they figure out they had a lot of wiggle room and managed to bring him in line without altering his abilities further.
The same approach is aimed at Wraith now but the silver lining here is that Klein stated hitbox changes could allow for the balance team to make her abilities focus more on being in-the-moment as opposed to having to plan ahead when using Into the Void.
