World of Warcraft's upcoming expansion Shadowlands has been rated for the next-generation console Xbox Series X by the Brazil classification agency, suggesting a console release in the near future.
Blizzard's MMORPG World of Warcraft is one of the biggest games of all time that never launched on consoles. Of course, there are many reasons why the popular WoW remained a PC exclusive game, one of them being a complex controls and MMO community which was mostly PC-oriented.
However, it looks like World of Warcraft could finally arrive to consoles, or at least Microsoft's next-generation hardware Xbox Series X. World of Warcraft's upcoming expansion, Shadowlands, has been rated for Xbox Series X by the Brazil classification agency.
The rating has been updated today, July 27, and it includes two versions - PC and Xbox Series X one. We could not find a rating for PlayStation 5 but we will update the article if one appears online in the upcoming days.
And while the rating does seem pretty legit, we suggest you take this one with a grain of salt, just like any other rumour, leak or unconfirmed info, before you go into full hype mode. It could be a simple mistake by the classification board. Blizzard are yet to officially comment on the matter.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is officially announced for PC and it should arrive sometime in Autumn 2020.
