Another Daemonhunters patch, another heartbreak for the players as yet another nerf hits one of the best abilities in the game.

Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters launched in a rather good state and it was reflected in the positive reception by both players and critics but the former group got annoyed a few times over the game's lifespan so far.

It mostly revolved around nerfing some of the best abilities the Grey Knights had at their disposal, Teleport Strike and other AoE being among them. Now the time has come for Strategem nerfs and as you probably guessed by now, Infinity Gate is the first one to get it.

This particular Strategem could be used to pull the Knights out of a tough situation or just teleport all of the player's melee hitters on top of the enemy artillery, giving them a significant advantage. It appears that Complex Games figured this was a bit too good and wanted to bring other Strategems to the spotlight as the Gate was hit by a significant nerf.

Upon using it to teleport your Knights, Gate of Infinity now removes one AP from every one of them. In other words, it will behave like you moved the Knights in the limits of one AP but it just extends the range and ignores dangers like Overwatch or Opportunity Attacks.

It still sounds like a powerful tool, albeit in more calculated situations. On the flip side, all teleports have been fixed to properly remove Suppressive Fire from the Knights so the player doesn't suffer the penalties they technically didn't incur.
