Ayakashi is coming together to be one of VALORANT’s and Riot's most intriguing upcoming bundles. So far, all of the designs are drawing obvious inspiration from Japan’s myriad of ghost lore and creepy figures.
There’s a great balance of dipping into the dark while sticking to the game’s fantastically clean modern weapon look. Looking at the concept arts, the final bundle is bound to please players that have a strong visual identity but like to stay out of “trying too hard” territory.
The lineup also centers around the go-to popular weapon types as well as an eye-catching melee, giving everyone a reason to jump at it when it drops on the store.
Ayakashi skin line first look
Dark reds, deep greys, and black accents form the base of the Ayakashi bundle, which is filled with a cursed, spirit-soaked atmosphere. Long crimson energy lines follow the contour of each weapon’s length, creating the effect that there is something alive inside the metal.
Confirmed so far:
- Phantom
- Ghost
- Twin daggers melee
In particular the melee will likely steal the show thanks to its glowing blade and elaborate sculpt.
Weapon visual effects
As with other character skins, VFX on the weapons is expected to follow the theme, with smoky crimson bursts on shots, spirit-like trail FX, and more weight to the sound design to set the uncanny tone.
The devil is in the details for skin VFX and effects like these usually get additional layers as skins are fully upgraded.
Colour variants
It’s being reported that there will be several variants on Phantom and Ghost with different accent and energy tones beyond the main colour scheme. While always a nice addition, this is good to hear as it allows further personalisation without detracting from the integrity of the theme.
Price
No information has been shared about price, but it’s expected that the Ayakashi bundle will continue VALORANT’s trend of premium tier skins being in the 7,000 VP region.
It’s thought that the full bundle will be around 7,160 VP based on prior precedent, and that the individual weapons will be at or near 1,775 VP.
Release date
Release date has not been confirmed by Riot, but the latest info indicates that we can likely expect a January 2026 release window, depending on what rollout schedule they aim for.
