Nintendo's Animal Crossing: New Horizons has returned to the top spot of UK physical sales chart thanks to a huge, 135 per cent sales boost week-on-week.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been a massive success for Nintendo, breaking several sales records since its launch. It's the fastest-selling game on Nintendo's hybrid console, besting even the biggest franchises from the publisher such as Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda.

This week, the game returned to the top of the UK physical sales charts thanks to a massive sales boost. With 135 per cent increase in week-on-week sales, Animal Crossing: New Horizons managed to beat Grand Theft Auto 5 in second and the usual heavy-hitters FIFA 20 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in third and fourth, respectively.
