SEGA revealed the new Chapter Pack for Total War: Three Kingdoms, named A World Betrayed. It will be standalone and is set to release on Steam on 19 March 2020, bringing new factions, units and more along.
Total War: Three Kingdoms - A World Betrayed will be a standalone pack that is set to release in just two weeks after the initial announcement. It is apparently set in the immediate aftermath of the 190CE conflict as China's warlords clash in attempts to fill the power vacuum left behind previously.
As the story goes, Lu Bu, who has slain his tyrannical father, Dong Zhuo, is looking to challenge the greatest heroes across China and eventually conquer their lands. Meanwhile, Sun Ce is rising in the south, following the death of his father Sun Jian, and is attempting to continue the latter's legacy.
Players will get to spruce up a new empire with an army of one of the aforementioned warriors. Each one will have unique rivalries to deal with and lands to conquer. Furthermore, A World Betrayed will introduce new commanders, units and statesmen who will back their hero as he attempts to claim new lands.
There will be thirteen playable factions in total, each of them with new starting positions, events and story missions. The new units will include the Tiger Guard, Flying Riders and Handmaid Guard. New characters have also been mentioned, including Cheng Pu and Qiao Sisters but not limited to them.
A World Betrayed is set to release on 19 March 2020 at 3:00 PM GMT. The price will be $9.99 / €9.99 / £7.99 but there is a 10 per cent discount on Steam that will last until the game releases.
