Here's a great side-by-side comparison video between the upcoming The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword HD version for Switch, and the original version with the Wii U console. Does the HD stamp justify the price of the game?

A YouTuber ElAnalistaDeBits is here with a new video, this time putting the original The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword from the Nintendo Wii U next to its upcoming facelifted version from Switch.

The difference between the two versions is not that striking, but the HD version does indeed look ultra-crisp compared to the blurry Wii U version. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD was announced yesterday on the Nintendo Direct event, and it's coming to Switch on July 16, 2021.

Nintendo have also revealed that Joy-Con controllers with a special design themed after The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD will also launch alongside the game on July 16:

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the sixteenth main installment of The Legend of Zelda series. It is the first The Legend of Zelda game created specifically with the Wii in mind, and requires Wii Motion Plus. Upon its North American release, a special edition Skyward Sword bundle became available at the price of $69.99.

The bundle includes a copy of Skyward Sword, as well as a gold Wii Remote Plus. Additionally, a limited edition CD, featuring music from The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony concerts, is also packaged alongside all early purchases of the standard and special edition copies of Skyward Sword.
