The Last of Us Part II is doing great when it comes to pre-orders in Europe, Sony's Jim Ryan confirmed. The pre-order numbers are currently surpassing the ones of Spider-Man at the same point before its launch.
Naughty Dog's upcoming action-adventure The Last of Us Part II is just around the corner and today, Sony have shared some details regarding the game's pre-order numbers.
As you may know, many The Last of Us fans were disappointed with earlier leaks that revealed several major story spoilers, which had some pretty heartbreaking and disturbing moments. For this reason, some expected that The Last of Us Part II may not sell as well as Sony expects but according to PlayStation boss Jim Ryan , this is not the case.
Ryan has confirmed that The Last of Us Part II pre-orders are currently outpacing Spider-Man PS4 pre-order numbers at the same point before its launch. However, these numbers are only from the EU region as Ryan did not share info about pre-orders in the US or the rest of the world.
Many will assume that The Last of Us Part II is not doing so great in the US, which may be true but still, the game is smashing it in Europe, which is certainly a big win for Naughty Dog after everything that happened in the last couple of months.
The Last of Us Part II is coming exclusively to PlayStation 5 on 19 June 2020.
