The King of Fighters XIV gets a free DLC as part of the holiday season promotion; details of Ver. 1.10 published
As part of the special Christmas and Holiday Season offer, a DLC costume for the pop-idol Athena Asamiya, together with a bundle of PS4 themes, was released today. The DLC costume was inspired by Athena's retro look, dating all the way back from 1998.
As for the PS4 themes, a "Santa Girls" theme is available - fully coated in the spirit of the holiday season - along with an "Athena All Stars" theme which displays all of her styles throughout history.
This DLC will be free to download starting today and all the way through January 22 on the PS Store - so it would be wise to get it as soon as possible.
The King of Fighters XIV has received a major visual upgrade with the Ver. 1.10 update. The biggest change is noticeable in the shaders and lighting, which have been upgraded to improve the overall look of the game.
The plea of fans for additional color variation did not fall on deaf ears either, because the development team increased the total number per character from 4 to 6. The update will be released on January 11, 2017 along with a Demo Ver. 2 which will allow players to experience the updates before the official release.
