According to the latest leak on Reddit, the upcoming action adventure from Respawn Entertainment Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order could feature a combat system similar to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. The leak apparently comes from the game's dev.
The full reveal of Respawn Entertainment's and EA's next game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is coming in just two days now but the first details about the game appeared a bit earlier on tech forum ResetEra.
According to Redditor SchrodingersWitcher, the rumours come from one of the devs who posted regularly on ResetEra but decided to delete his account and his posts.
Redditor gathered the leaked details in one post and some of the info is pretty interesting and certainly not something we would expect from an EA game.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order's gameplay is apparently similar to Dark Souls, with a parry system of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. The leaker added that this type of gameplay should make you "feel like a Jedi".
Players will travel from planet to planet in a "not completely linear but not open world either". The map will be split into areas where you'll get to explore, trying to continue the narrative. Sounds awfully similar to God of War's world but the leak claims Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is definitely not an action game like Devil May Cry or God of War.
If he had to compare the game to other titles, he says the game resembles Jedi Knight and Force Unleashed with a bit of Uncharted.
Furthermore, the leaker claims the game will expand the Star Wars lore, but will also take players to some known planets. It will have a pre-made male protagonist, Cameron Monaghan from the TV show Gotham apparently, who will travel with his backpack companion droid.
The story will be longer than five hours and some details about it were already leaked before. As for the microtransactions, the game may or may not have them apparently but if they are included in the end, this wouldn't hinder your progress or enjoyment.
