Steam Lunar Sale

Another Steam Lunar New Year Sale is up and running and this year, players will receive one-time automatic $5 discounts on certain purchases over $30. Also, buying games will earn you tokens, which can be traded for Steam rewards.

Valve have decided to celebrate the Year of the Pig with another on Steam, which includes deals for some big name titles. The annual Lunar New Year Sale brings additional bonuses and discounts which will give players a chance to snap up their wishlisted titles for some ridiculously low prices.

This year, Valve are gifting everyone a special, automatic $5 discount for qualifying purchases over $30. This means that on top of their regular discounts, you get to save an additional $5 once you're at the cart page. The offer can be used only once per cart and per Steam account though.

In addition, users who purchase games during the Lunar sale will also get rewarded with tokens, which can be redeemed for Steam rewards at Rewards Booth. These rewards include profile backgrounds, chat emoticons, badges and instant discounts coupons. Reward tokens will expire once the Lunar sale ends so make sure to spend them before that happens.

As for the best deals available at the moment, there is a huge 75 per cent discount on Ubisoft's Far Cry 5. The shooter is currently available for $14.99 and if you're yet to play it, it's a great opportunity to grab it and get ready for the upcoming post-apocalyptic spin-off - Far Cry New Dawn.

If fighting games are your thing, the latest instalment in Bandai Namco's Tekken series, Tekken 7, is currently at $19.99 which is 50 per cent down from the regular price.

Critically acclaimed stealth shooter Sniper Elite 4 is currently a real bargain at 80 per cent discount. It goes straight into your library for just $11.99.

You can also get turn-based tactical shooter X-Com 2 at a low price. It's currently sitting at $14.99, which is a 75 per cent discount.

Since the sale is to celebrate the Chinese New Year, Valve haven't forgotten Chinese developers and their creations. Indies like Three Kingdoms: The Last Warlord and Home Behind are currently at $8.49 and $2.45 respectively.
