State of Decay 2 - I'm the Juggernaut b%$#"! Definitely not an encounter I look forward to.

State of Decay 2 launched on 18 May 2018 and although the reviews may not have been as favourable as developer Undead Labs would've liked, the game is doing just fine, with the latest figures reporting the playerbase to be at one million.

The game has racked up around 3.5 million hours of combined viewership from Twitch, YouTube and Mixer, with more than 41,000 streamers. A quick check of Twitch stats reveals State of Decay 2 is the 12th most watched game on the platform in the past seven days.

Undead Labs shared some in-game stats as well and it turns out State of Decay 2's hordes have murdered more than 675 million poor zombies, who were of course doing the only thing they know - being zombies.

More than 6 million firecrackers and fireworks went off, admittedly in celebration, with just as many million bags of snacks consumed. State of Decay 2 players read over 2 million textbooks, which I always find interesting. Morrowind anyone?

in average, State of Decay 2 players survive for some three in-game days. The dev did however mention a few players who've managed to survive for a full month. We're still talking about in-game time here, so you don't get confused.

Undead Labs are pretty pleased with the outcome and thanked the community for the response, albeit acknowledging there's plenty of work ahead. State of Decay 2 has had quite a few bugs, some more annoying than others.

Some users experienced the bug with the invisible enlisted follower who can't be dismissed or replaced. Others found a way to abuse emotes in order not to endure fall damage, although that's hardly what we'd call a game breaking bug.

Ultimately though, it seems like Undead Labs and State of Decay 2 are doing pretty darn well so far. Interestingly, even though the game hasn't garnered the sort of acclaim the original State of Decay did, the game is commercially doing way better, as State of Decay 2 only took a few days to hit one million players while the original needed four months to sell as many copies.
