EA and DICE announced Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Celebration Edition that includes a pile of cosmetic items, at a price lower than the standard AAA rate. There are no Pink Vader sightings so far.
EA and DICE are fanning the possible hype flames for Rise of the Skywalker as both the movie and the update for Star Wars: Battlefront 2 are just around the corner.
As such, they are releasing the Celebration Edition of Star Wars: Battlefront 2 which now looks like the opposite of the greed factory that was the game's launch. Two years and one most downvoted Reddit comment of all time, there is a $39.99 version of Battlefront 2 on our doorstep, with over 350 customisation items in tow and not a single one is pink Darth Vader.
This edition will be available to players on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from 5 December 2019. The existing players will be able to purchase an upgrade that will bring their copy of Battlefront 2 to Celebration Edition status and all the cosmetics will be unlocked for them. Cost of the upgrade will set the players back $24.99.
Both the new and existing players who get the Celebration Edition will get new appearances for Clone Commando, BX Commando Droid, ARC Trooper and Droideka which are due for release on 5 December 2019.
Rise of the Skywalker update itself will arrive on 17 December 2019 and the content will obviously be inspired by the events of the upcoming film. There will be a new planet, reinforcements, appearances and a promise of another major update in January 2020.
You can read more about the Celebration Edition and the updates themselves on the official post by EA DICE. In the meantime, Star Wars fans will likely be content watching The Mandalorian while hoping we get to see the cutest new meme in the future.
