We'd normally say that Activision have pulled quite the feat dethroning Red Dead Redemption 2 in the UK, had there not been for the fact that Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!'s combined sales actually made it the winner.

Of course, Red Dead Redemption 2 was in its fourth week of sales in the most hectic time of year, so doing three weeks on the trot is not at all shabby. Nevertheless, it was time to leave and it was replaced by Activision and Toys For Bob's Spyro Reignited Trilogy.

Activision's partnering up with Vicarious Visions already lined their pockets with Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, which coincidentally dropped out of the top 10 for the first time since it launched. It's unlikely Spyro Reignited Trilogy will manage Crash's , what with the competition coming in hard and fast this time of year, but it sure started off well, winning first spot.

In spite of criticism of Bethesda's latest and greatest in engine technology with Fallout 76, the game still did great. Physical sales are down more than 80 per cent compared to Fallout 4, even though that seems to be a general trend, but Todd's suggested pricing means it was the most lucrative launch last week, in Spite of Spyro winning.

Well, technically winning, because had Game Freak's Pokemon title not been split into Let's Go, Eevee! and Let's Go, Pikachu!, it would've come in first. In case you're wondering, Pikachu ended up winning the battle against Eevee.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is sticking around in seventh place, another Activision game. Interestingly, Fortnite's Deep Freeze Bundle has done pretty well, with a pretty much even split across Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo flagships products.

Hitman 2 comes in tenth and it too has been subject to slower physical sales compared to some of its predecessors, although again - this has much to do with the general trend of switching to digital. That being said, the remainder of the list is as follows:

  • Spyro Reignited Trilogy
  • Red Dead Redemption 2
  • Fallout 76
  • Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu
  • FIFA 19
  • Pokémon Let's Go Eevee
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
  • Fortnite: Deep Freeze Bundle
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  • Hitman 2
