Fans waiting for the release of Soulstice can now check out what the indie DMC lookalike has in store for them.
Soulstice may be flying under a few radars due to being an indie project, rather than a massive release from an established Capcom series of action games but it looks like the game will have a lot to offer for those itching for some fast-paced combat.
Reply Game Studios and Modus Games recently revealed a gameplay video that is over 10 minutes long and describes the mechanics of combat in Soulstice while showing it in action.
Essentially, the game's protagonist is a fusion of two sisters - Briar and Lute. Their state was apparently a necessity as becoming a Chimera was the only way to fight the Wraiths, creatures that are invading the world. The sad fate of becoming Chimera and the sacrifices made not for nothing as the duo gets the necessary speed, agility, strength and other superpowers to combat the overwhelming threat.
Briar and Lute are voiced by Stefanie Joosten, who you might remember as Quiet from Metal Gear Solid V.
As you may notice in the video, the combat does have its style and quick pace but keep in mind that holding it to Devil May Cry standards might be a bit unfair, as the latter is a series of awesome action games that had decades to get even better.
At the same time, Soulstice is open for pre-orders at certain storefronts but keep in mind that this is a digital good - there is no scarcity and as such, the concept of pre-ordering is not something we endorse.
