Epic Games, the creators of Unreal Engine have confirmed that a reveal trailer for Ninja Theory's Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 was indeed running in real-time, as previously speculated.
In case that was not obvious by now, Epic Games have officially confirmed that the trailer for the upcoming Xbox exclusive Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 was running in real-time, which means you are looking at the in-game graphics. Epic used the words "unmatched real-time character quality" when describing the game.
The trailer, which you can watch above, originally premiered in December 2019 at The Games Awards show. During the reveal, it was confirmed that Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 is one of the first games that will arrive to Xbox Series X.
The sequel to popular action game from 2017 is also built using Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5, the latest and most powerful game engine the company ever created. You may remember that Epic Games showcased their engine using PlayStation 5 a couple of months ago but judging by the graphics in the trailer, Hellblade 2 is on par with the PS5 demo.
One of the things that is certainly an impressive feat are the facial expressions and animations. Ninja Theory did an amazing job and we cannot wait to see some gameplay, which could be revealed at the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase, later this month.
Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 still does not have a release date. It is coming to Xbox Series X and potentially PC, but Xbox are yet to confirm this.
