Pirates, ahoy! Sea of Thieves' long-awaited Season eight is officially launching later this month on November 22, 2022, the developer Rare confirmed. Season eight is introducing a fresh batch of content so expect new adventures, cosmetics and treasures to be found.
Rare also confirmed the date for the special Season eight live stream, where they will talk in detail about everything that's coming soon. The studio will also reveal the results for Adventure, Return of the Damned so it should be a pretty fun live stream.
As always, you can watch the entire thing on the Sea of Thieves Twitch channel.
Sea of Thieves' Season Eight is set to introduce three new adventures, expanded role-play and quest types, a new plunder pass, and much more. You may recall that it was supposed to launch in September 2022 but Rare had to delay it for a couple of months to ensure it's up to the standards that players expect.
Rare previously announced Season nine for the month of December 2022 but obviously, that won't be happening anymore given that we're getting season eight so close to December.
Our guess is that Season nine will be coming sometime in early 2023, possibly in February.
All in all, if you play Sea of Thieves, the long wait for Season eight is finally coming to an end and there's plenty of content on the way.
