Capcom have announced that three of their critically acclaimed Resident Evil titles will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles later this year with ray tracing, high frame rate and 3D audio.
Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 7 are getting a next-gen visual makeover. The three games will be released on next-gen consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S sometime later this year Capcom announced.
Capcom say that all three titles have been developed using Capcom's RE engine, featuring ray tracing, higher frame rate and 3D audio. PlayStation 5 version will also support the DualSense controller's Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Triggers.

Capcom also mentioned that players who previously purchased Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 or Resident Evil 7 biohazard on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One are eligible for an upgrade at no additional cost through the PS4 to digital PS5 upgrade option or Xbox Smart Delivery system.
The publisher have not forgotten about the PC platform, which will be getting an upgrade patch at no additional cost.
A specific release date has not been revealed, we only know that the trilogy will release sometime later this year. Other, additional details or gameplay footage have not been revealed by Capcom.
