Resident Evil 2 Remake fans are just getting through the game, slowly unlocking new minigames after 2nd Run, but Capcom have already announced three new DLC stories that will launch on 15 February 2019. They are not canon adventures though.

Resident Evil 2 Remake already features new modes that become available after beating the game. Beating it the first time around gives players access to 2nd Run, while beating that gives them access to HUNK's The Fourth Survivor short adventure. Beating The Fourth Survivor unlocks Tofu Survivor.

Apparently, this is not even Resident Evil 2 Remake's final form as the official Twitter account a brand new batch of content, called The Ghost Survivors. This time around, players will be set in the shoes of the owner of the iconic gun store, Robert Kendo. Kendo will be played in one story that is, since The Ghost Survivors will feature three separate stories.

The second story will see players playing from the perspective of Katherine Warren, the daughter of Raccoon City's mayor, Michael Warren. Those who played either the original Resident Evil 2 or the Remake will start to see a pattern here, but Capcom has a small surprise in store for them.

The third story is about a forgotten soldier, but info on this individual is a little more scarce than that of the other two. It is possible this is , an often overlooked member of HUNK's Alpha Team, due to his uniform indicating he is part of the Umbrella Security Service. Paragraphs after this sentence will have story spoilers for Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 2 Remake, so proceed at your own discretion.

Considering that only a handful of people survived Raccoon City's destruction, it is easy to see all three of these protagonists met their tragic end during the story. We're just pointing it out in case that Kendo being zombie lunch and Katherine's murder was not enough of an indication.

It's important to bring this up, as the new DLC will apparently feature "what if" stories that will likely see each of the three survivors escaping Raccoon City. That also means the stories will not be canon though.
