Niantic announced two new Gen 3 Legendary Pokemon will be available in Pokemon GO for a limited time. The Legendaries will be accompanied by other monsters from the Hoenn region. New special boxes available at the in-game store for a limited time.

A new announcement on the game's site says that even more Pokemon will start appearing in Pokemon GO on 09 February 2018. The biggest news: the Legendary Pokemon will become available in Raid Battles for a limited time.
As a result, Pokemon originally discovered in the Hoenn region will take over wild encounters and continue to do so until 13 February 2018. During this time, you'll be given an opportunity to get your hands on Salamence, Altaria, Metagross, and more.

In addition to the new monsters, "you might see some different Pokemon in Raid Battles at your nearby Gym, and from hatched Eggs" says the announcement. In-game store will also get some special boxes that contain Raid Passes, Incubators, and Star Pieces. The new boxes will be available until 23 February 2018. Lure Modules will stay activated for six hours until that same date.
