Pokemon GO's next Community Day has been announced. The next event's rare monster will be Bulbasaur, and the resource bonus will be triple XP points. Niantic has added a festive Pikachu and some new outfits for Pokemon Day.
We also got some details about the upcoming Community Day. This time around, it will feature one of the original three starting Pokemon from Red and Blue. Like the previous two events, this one will run for three hours, kick off at 7:00 PM GMT and end at 10:00 PM GMT.
Trainers will be given a chance to catch a rare Pokemon that knows a special move it cannot quite learn outside of the event. As usual, the special move has remained a secret, but we do know which monster you'll get to chase. It's the Grass-type starter Bulbasaur.
In addition to increased Bulbasaur spawns, you'll earn triple XP each time you manage to catch one during the three hours. Your lure modules will last as long as the Community Day event. More details will be announced as we get closer to 25 March 2018.
Niantic's first Community Day event happened back in January, and gave players a chance to capture a Pikachu that could use Surf, just like the one that was featured in the classic Pokemon Yellow version. The most recent event went down last weekend, on 24 February 2018.
Last Community Day offered up the rare Dragon-type Pokemon Dratini. Players who successfully evolved their Dratini into Dragonair and then into a Dragonite, got a Pokemon that knows the powerful Dragon-type attack Draco Meteor.
Before the next Community Day rolls around, players can keep busy trying to catch a special party hat Pikachu. In celebration of the Pokemon Day, some new threads are also available in the game's shop.
New avatar outfits inspired by Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen as well as party hats wearing Pikachu will be available until 28 February 2018 at 9:00 PM GMT.
