Niantic announced a new event that is going to allow trainers to evolve the Hisuian Voltorb, on top of the other goodies that will be available for a limited time.
Hisuian Voltorb was previously added to Pokemon Go but the trainers couldn't evolve it just yet. The time has come and from February 18, 2022, at 10:00 AM local time to February 25, 2022, at 8:00 PM local time, POGO fans will get a bunch of bonuses and opportunities.
Professor Willow has finally figured out that Hisuian Voltorb can evolve into Hisuian Electrode and players will need 50 Voltorb Candy to trigger the evolution. Keep in mind that you will still be able to evolve Hisuian Voltorb even after the event ends so there is no hurry on that end.
Additionally, Amoonguss will be eligible for catching during the event and players will be able to get the avatar outfit resembling the Pokeball Guy the fans may have encountered on their adventures in the Galar region, available in Pokemon Sword / Shield.
Timed research during the event will award Poke Balls so catching the new additions shouldn't be too much of an inconvenience.
