Before the release of the new Gen 2 lineup, Pokemon GO will be hit with a price increase

The iOS users from the UK, Turkey and India, accustomed to making in-app purchases, will be affected by the update. The changes are connected to the Brexit vote which has caused a change in the value of Sterling in comparison to other currencies.

Apple has now confirmed the price increase for the UK, Tukey and India. There will be a straight dollar-to-pound exchange, as the UK costs rise to match those in the US. This matching policy could potentially mean a 25 per cent increase in costs.

Apple explained: "Price tiers on the App Store are set internationally on the basis of several factors, including currency exchange rates, business practices, taxes, and the cost of doing business,". "These factors vary from region to region and over time."

In addition, Apple is introducing new lower-price tiers, so the publishers will be able to charge users 49p or 79p, although a re-price of products will be needed.
