Pokemon Go October Community Day has been officially announced and it will feature the Ground-type Pokemon, Trapinch. The event will play out on Saturday, 12 October 2019 and will have a few bonuses in tow.
October's Community Day will see Trapinch appear more often in the wild and lucky trainers will have a chance to encounter a shiny version of the Ground-type Pokemon. As per usual, its evolutions VIbrava and Flygon are going to receive a shiny makeover, provided they appeared from a shiny Trapinch's evolution.
It will be a colour exchange for the most part - Trapinch is orange while the shiny version is green. It goes opposite for Vibrava and Flygon as they are both green but shiny Vibrava is orange. Flygon's differences are a bit more subtle as it remains green for the most part but the shiny version's head is blue and wing outlines are orange rather than red.
Just like before, the October Community Day will adhere to local times. Therefore, the event will start on 12 October 2019 at 11:00 AM local time and will go on for three hours, until 2:00 PM. Those who evolve a Trapinch into a Flygon will get an exclusive Community Day move, provided they did so until 3:00 PM local time.
Lure Modules will last for three hours for the duration of the Community Day and Catch XP will be tripled. There are no other bonuses this time around, possibly because Pokemon Go event extravaganza is slowing down as the warm days of summer are behind us and Autumn will have begun by the time this Community Day kicks off.
As per usual, Niantic didn't announce the exclusive move yet but there is almost an entire month before the October Community Day kicks off so there is plenty of time for them to announce it.
