Niantic has another event in store for Pokemon Go players and this time around it is focused on the nature.
From Wednesday, April 20 at 10:00 AM to Monday, April 25, 2022, at 8:00 PM local time, trainers will be able to enjoy the Sustainability Week event in Pokemon Go .
The event will feature a new debut, Oranguru, the creature pictured above. While this is the only true debut, it is not the only thing to appear for the first time as Cherubi is finally getting its Shiny version.
While chasing the new Pokemon and the new Shiny variation is exciting in its own right, those who like nature might want to focus on the Timed Research, which will be available from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM (local time) on Saturday, April 23.
This Timed Research will have players move for a kilometre in order to complete a phase and the reward for doing so is an encounter with Cherubi. Furthermore, whenever a Trainer moves at least five kilometres during the Community Day, Niantic will plant a tree, to the upper limit of 100,000 trees.
