As Niantic Labs are gearing up for Pokemon GO Fest 2020, the company announced three weeks worth of Ultra Unlocks - Dragon Week, Enigma Week and Unova Week.
"As is tradition with Pokémon GO Fest events, we’re excited to unveil details on this year’s Ultra Unlock bonus! Throughout day one of Pokémon GO Fest 2020, Trainers will have 32 global challenges they can work together to complete in the Global Challenge Arena", Niantic wrote.
Every eight challenges that are collectively complete unlock an additional Ultra Unlock event week, for up to three events. Pokemon GO Trainers can track the progress via Global Challenge Arena in the Today View.
Ultra Unlock Week 1: Dragon Week
Completing eight global challenges unlocks Dragon Week, and it runs from Friday, July 31, 2020, at 1:00pm to Friday, August 7, 2020, at 1:00pm PDT (GMT - 7)
- More frequent: Alolan Exeggutor, Horsea, Dratini, Trapinch, Swablu, Bagon, and, if you're lucky enough, maybe even a Gible.
- Hatching from 7km Eggs: Horsea, Dratini, Trapinch, Swablu, and Bagon. Unless you're really lucky, then you might get Gibl and Deino.
- Five-star Raids: Rayquaza
- Complete Timed Research in the above time window for a chance to encounter two Deino instead of one.
- Lucky ones might even find a Shiny Deino
Ultra Unlock Week 2: Enigma Week
Completing 16 global challenges unlocks Enigma Week, which runs from Friday, August 7, 2020, at 1:00pm to Friday, August 14, 2020, at 1:00pm PDT (GMT - 7)
- More frequent: Staryu, Jigglypuff, Clefairy, Lunatone, Solrock, Baltoy, Bronzor, and Elgyem
- Hatching from 7km Eggs: Cleffa, Igglybuff, Lunatone, Solrock, and Elgyem
- Raids: Bronzong, Claydol, Bronzong, Elgyem, and Unown U, L, T, R, and A
Ultra Unlock Week 3: Unova Week
Should Pokemon GO Trainers complete 24 challenges, they'll unlock Unova Week, along with debutant Bouffalant, which will be appearing in New York and the surroundings. Unova Week lasts from August 14, 2020, at 1:00pm to Friday, August 21, 2020, at 1:00pm PDT (GMT - 7)
- More frequent: Sewaddle, Cottonee, and other Pokémon originally discovered in the Unova region. If you're lucky, you might find an Emolga
- Bouffalant will be appearing in the wild and hatching from 5km Eggs in NY, USA, and the surrounding areas.
- Raids: Roggenrola and other Pokemon from the Unova region
- Five-star Raids: Genesect, or if you're lucky - a Shiny Genesect
- Especially lucky ones might come across Shiny Roggenrola
