With the next Pokemon GO community day scheduled for 21 October 2018, Niantic have revealed the exact timing as well as Beldum, which is this Community Day's featured Pokemon. Of course, there are also bonuses, an exclusive move and more.

Pokemon GO Community Day events are a nice excuse to stretch your legs and visit local parks, catching some of the little guys in the process. It's also a chance to learn new moves for Pokemon or their evolutions, earn bonuses, etc. Either way, you'll be getting something, even if it's only a blister.

This time around, Pokemon GO's featured star is Beldum, which is a dual type Steel/Psychic Pokemon that arrived with the introduction of the third generation. Its first evolution is Metang while the second one is Metagross, which is also featured in the Community Day event.

Pokemon GO trainers will get a chance to learn a new move in Meteor Mash, although it's reserved for Metagross only. Therefore, you may want to step up your efforts in getting Beldum up to level 45 and evolving him to Metagross.

Niantic threw in a few bonuses as well, such as the 1/4 egg hatch distance and 3-hour lures, which should come in handy come hunting time. The company also pointed out that "Fast TMs and Charged TMs will not grant exclusive moves during Community Day", so learning the exclusive move will require catching/evolving the Pokemon during the event.

With the introduction of Meltan, Niantic also announced a , starting off with weather playing a lesser role in Pokemon appearance rates. Moreover, the company ensured that wildlife reserves and parks feature a greater variety of Pokemon, a number which actually grows as you keep exploring further.

Niantic is also planning on changes to the Pokemon's effectiveness in battle, tweaking CP and HP values. The reasons are twofold, since the changes will not only bridge the gap between low and high HP Pokemon, but also "allowing highly defensive Pokémon to be valuable in battle by outlasting opponents rather than simply running out the clock."
