Niantic are reminding Pokemon Go players that Season 1 of Go Battle League is coming to an end as April 2020 wraps up, while the new season is bring some changes.
Go Battle League Season 1 is wrapping up and Season 2 is scheduled to begin on Friday, 1 May 2020 at 1:00 PM PDT / 8:00 PM GMT. In case you participated in Season 1 and reached Rank 7 or higher, you will be able to go to Battle screen and receive the end-of-season rewards which include an Elite Charged TM.
Season 2 is bringing several changes as well but the general idea will stay the same. Some of the first changes can be seen in the Go Battle League reward system as Pokemon reward encounters can be earned after the third win on the basic rewards track or the first one on the premium track.
The ranking system itself has been adjusted too, with more wins being required to get to ranks four, five, six and seven. Furthermore, the rewards based on the rank will also be altered.
Players will start encountering Stunfisk starting at Rank 4, Rufflet at Rank 8 and Scraggy at Rank 9. Those who manage to reach Rank 10 will get a new avatar pose.
Finishing Season 2 at Rank 7 or higher will receive the Elite Fast TM instead of the Elite Charged TM which was awarded in the previous season. Besides that, the end-of-season rewards will remain the same.
These may be the highlights but there are other changes and notes from Niantic that you can check out on the Pokemon Go website.
