Pokemon Air Adventures collaboration delayed
Niantic recently shared that they are delaying the Pokemon GO Pokemon Air Adventures collaboration "due to recent developments". The event was supposed to begin on Thursday, July 22, 2021.
Although to additional information as to why the event was postponed, the delay is probably due to the ongoing pandemic. Japan has banned tourists from entering the country, and even its residents have a difficult time returning home. The only visitors to the country who are shown some clemency are those associated with the Olympics.
Pokemon Air Adventures
Pokemon Air Adventures was originally conceptualised as an initiative that would help create travel memories for foreign and domestic tourists.
A special Pikachu wearing an Okinawan kariyushi shirt was scheduled to appear in Pokemon GO starting July 22. The event was supposed to go on for over a year to give the fans ample time to visit Okinawa.
July 22 was also picked as the date a Shiny Corsola would start appearing in the wild. There was no time limit planned for the appearance, but we'll probably have to wait for it as well.
