Pokemon GO's Safari Zone has been rescheduled and here are the new dates and times. The City Explorer Pass experience has been removed and all those who purchased the add-on will get a refund.
Pokemon GO's Safari Zone events were originally planned for 2020 but we all know how that year turned out, so onward and upward with the new dates and fresh details.
Pokemon GO Safari Zone events 2021 locations and dates
- Pokemon GO Safari Zone: Liverpool - Friday, October 15, 2021, to Sunday, October 17, 2021, in Sefton Park.
- Pokemon GO Safari Zone: Philadelphia is now scheduled for Friday, October 29, 2021, to Sunday, October 31, 2021, in Fairmount Park.
- Pokemon GO Safari Zone: St. Louis - Friday, November 12, 2021, to Sunday, November 14, 2021, in Tower Grove Park. The start and end times for Safari Zone St. Louis have shifted one hour earlier to provide the best possible experience. Your event ticket has additional info about the new start/end time.
More details about the events will be shared in the coming weeks.
Worldwide Safari Zone event
Ticket holders will be able to take part in the Safari Zone celebrations regardless of where they happen to be at the moment, geographically speaking. Global event hours will be based on each participant's local time.

Ticket holders will also be able to enjoy the following features, whether they participate in an in-person event or play globally:
- Featured Pokemon will be appearing in the wild and be attracted to Incense.
- You’ll be able to complete event-exclusive Special Research and Field Research tasks.
- Incense activated during event hours will last for eight hours.
- Lure Modules activated during event hours will last for four hours.
- Special 2 km Eggs will be available.
- For Safari Zone Philadelphia ticket holders, take a snapshot for a surprise.
All ticket holders who would like to join an in-person event must RSVP. This will let the organisers know how many Trainers will physically be at the event and ensure a safe, socially distanced gathering. More info on how to RSVP will come to your inbox.
Safari Zone ticket holders can consult their Events tab for the updated date and time for their event.
Important update about The City Explorer Pass experience
The City Explorer Pass experience has been removed from these events, and those who purchased this add-on will have it refunded. All refunds will be initiated by October 2, 2021.
