Sony's PlayStation 5 reveal event featured a ton of games but the viewers' patience seemed to start wearing thin as they all waited in anticipation for the console reveal. Then it happened and left everyone mesmerised.
Xbox Series X design was not that well received and the lack of styling had even PlayStation fans worried as they waited in anticipation for the reveal of their future hardware. It finally came on June 11, 2020, and was received much better than the literal box that Microsoft presented.
The sleek design of PlayStation 5 left pretty much no viewer indifferent as the two-tone figure started appearing. Even the lines are not something that is common among the console designers as PS5 took on a wavy form that is bound to look like a decoration in any household.
Besides the stunning looks, Sony revealed a few more details that might interest the fans. PS5 will launch with two options. The standard model will have an optical drive, that being an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive, while one will be a completely digital model without the aforementioned option. They didn't reveal pricing for either console so it still remains to be seen which one will eventually come out on top.
Both of them will be able to utilise the accessories that Sony announced in the same trailer. Pulse 3D is the name of the wireless headset that will offer 3D audio support and dual noise-cancelling microphones for what is probably unprecedented ability to take audio cues as far as consoles go.
PS5 users will also be able to purchase an HD camera that features dual 1080p lenses for better streaming capability. The media remote will be used to navigate movies and streaming services that are accessed through the console. DualSense charging station rounds up the accessory roster with the ability to charge two controllers simultaneously.
