Playground Games have opened the gates of their new office space to over 200 new employees. The new hires include GTA V, Metal Gear Solid and Hellblade developers. The expanded team will be working on a new unnamed open-world action RPG.
Forza Horizon developer Playground Games has funnelled in some fresh blood to work on their first ever project that has nothing to do with racing. The developer has had its eye on a new studio for quite a while and now their new game described as an "open-world action RPG" finally has a place to call home.
Sean Eyestone's name is now on the list of key talent tied to the new action RPG project. Eyestone will fill the role of production director. Sean's previous job was senior producer at developer EA DICE.

Before joining EA DICE, Sean spent ten years working at Kojima Productions on various Metal Gear Solid games. Those include Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes mentioned today for their open-world-ness.
Eyestone will be joining a team of previously hired game developers that includes chief designer Will Kennedy and principal combat designer Juan Fernandez di Simon. Kennedy joined the project in July, after spending eight years at Rockstar North.
Di Simon, on the other hand, joined in October after working as senior designer on Ninja Theory's Hellblade.

Playground had secured a new office space in its hometown of Leamington Spa just as the new hires were welcomed into the family. The new office will be home to north of 200 new employees. The new employees bring Playground's headcount up to more than 400.
"We're delighted that we've secured a second studio to house our new team," said CEO Gavin Raeburniz. "This is a hugely exciting project that is already attracting world-class talent to Playground".
