Manticore Games has officially unveiled Out of Time, a chaotic multiplayer roguelike launching exclusively on the Epic Games Store on September 25, 2025. According to the official announcement, the game blends real-time action, co-op gameplay, and MMO-style raids in a setting where dinosaurs, knights, and killer robots all coexist and fight.
Set in a post-apocalyptic universe torn apart by an event called The Shattering, Out of Time throws players into a constantly evolving battleground. Past, present, and future have fused together, creating a world where survivors from all eras must team up to restore order. Whether you're wielding a medieval broadsword or a futuristic rocket launcher, every run offers wildly different loadouts and unpredictable enemies.
“With Out of Time, we wanted to create a wholly unique and original experience that combinesmy favourite gameplay mechanics: the best aspects of roguelike, real time multiplayer, and MMO raids”, says Jordan Maynard, Chief Creative Officer, “The result is an explosive cocktail ofepic combat, infinite replayability, and deep social features, set in the unique context of auniverse where time itself has shattered, and past, present, and future collide!"
Out of Time features a classless system, letting players fully customize their gear and abilities for every run. With over 190 million gear combinations across eras, you can mix tank armour with healing powers and a cyberpunk railgun if that’s your style. Missions can be tackled solo or in co-op, and the hub world of Infinitopia acts as the last stronghold of civilisation between runs into corrupted regions of the broken timeline.
The team at Manticore is already planning more content beyond launch, including PvP modes, new playable eras, and releases on additional platforms.
“We’ve built Out of Time as a massively expandable dynamic universe,” said Manticore CEO Frederic Descamps. “This is just the beginning.”
Out of Time will launch at $24.99 and is available to pre-purchase now on the Epic Games Store. Pre-orders include the Temporal Disaster Pack, which features exclusive cosmetic content:
