The year of 2022 has started off badly for some poor employee of Amazon that is going to take the brunt of the blame for their leak of Valorant's upcoming agent. Official Valorant has further revealed Agent's name, release date and abilities.

Mamazon Prime is one of the ways through which players can earn rewards in most of Riot's games. As such, the Amaazon Prime site is privy to information not known to us, regular mortals, but even that can backfire.

It's unknown whether the cause of the leak was a human error, or merely a bad case of programming, with the picture of the new hero being posted as 2022 rolled by somewhere in the world, and it doesn't matter. What matters is Valorant's response, which reveals the new Agent's name as Neon.

"Looks like some of you might be faster than our next Agent. Here's an uncropped version to share. See ya next week!", was posted on Valorant's official Twitter account just two hours after the leak was out among the community.

The newest Agent is set to be released on episode 4, act 1, around January 11-12. Though we have no knowledge of her abilities, the Agent is set be a spreinter, and her kit is obviously centered around movement speed. Whether she can replace Jett or not is debatable, but it's certainly an interesting way to startoff the New Year, both for the developers and the community.
