Tyler "Ninja" Blevins, the streamer who should need no introduction, has recently had a meltdown over stream sniping in Fortnite, even suggesting he's done playing and streaming it.
One of Ninja's recent streaming sessions gradually turned sour as he kept running into stream snipers, who truth be told were quite relentless in their pursuit of the man.
In spite of trying to keep his cool, he eventually went into full rant mode, starting off with, "You’re not proving anything by going into a f****** game and running to someone, and when you know, they’re in a fight with somebody and f****** killing them".
He argued that stream snipers are too busy chasing their kills to understand that they're actually doing harm to Fortnite and its community as well. And considering what he said next, it's hard to argue his point.
"And the thing is, these f****** clout-chasing losers, they have no idea. All they’re doing is just harming the game because I’m gonna f****** play it. I’m not gonna stream it", he said.
Now, it's easy to dismiss Ninja's rants as whining - some of his followers did so in the chat and got a heated but still a pretty reasonable response.
The problem is that not many regular players know the feeling of being hunted every game, and this includes every possible scenario from a single stream sniper to most of the lobby chasing him.
We're not joking for the whole lobby thing either, and you can find a recording of it in the same YouTube channel that kindly edited Ninja's latest rant.
It will be interesting to see whether Epic indeed do something in regards to stream sniping, because there aren't many players that helped popularise the game as much as Ninja.
