Pokemon Go players will have a busy week ahead of them when the Extraordinary Raid Week event kicks off. On the flip side, Raid Passes are about to get absolutely annihilated. The event will start on 21 and conclude on 28 May 2019.
Niantic have announced that the raid week will start and finish at 13:00 PDT / 22:00 CEST on the corresponding date. Therefore, it is worth keeping track on the starting hours for your time zone, since the base event will not behave like a Community Day - it does not start based on your local time, it is a fixed start for all time zones in the world.
The company has also revealed the raid battles that will take place once the event starts.
- Tier 1 raids will have Machop, Slakoth, Shinx and Bronzor
- Tier 2 will feature Misdreavus, Kirlia, Mawile, Feebas, Clamperl and Bibarel
- Tier 3 will comprise of Alolan Raichu, Chansey, Scyther, Aerodactyl, Floatzel
- Tier 4 will have Alolan Marowak, Dragonite, Tyranitar, Absol, Metagross
Bronzor may be stuck in Tier 1 raids but it will be featured in one more way. Some lucy trainers will run into a Shiny Bronzor they can capture during the event. They can recognize it by the greenish hue instead of the regular periwinkle one.
The raid week will feature bonuses to Raid Stardust and Raid Experience, both of which will be doubled.
Those who are not content with just getting a Shiny Bronzor can look forward to Lapras Raid Day. It will kick off on 25 May 2019 for The Americas, Europe, Greenland, Africa, Middle-East and India. It will start on 26 May 2019 for Asia-Pacific.
This part of the event will behave like a Community Day - it will run for three hours and start at 11:00 AM local time for each region, on the corresponding date.
Players who are in need of Raid Passes can receive up to five from gyms at no cost and Shiny Lapras will be joining for the duration of the raid day.
