Fans of MotoGP have another entry in the series on the horizon. MotoGP 26 is rumoured to be announced later this week. This comes from insider billbil-kun who posted that the game would be announced on Wednesday, March 5.
Furthermore, PlayStation France uploaded a trailer for the game earlier than expected. This shows a release date of April 29, 2026 before being deleted. This would mean that MotoGP 26 won’t be far away if this rumour holds true.
Current-Gen Focus for the First Time
Information reveals that MotoGP 26, developed by Milestone, could signal a big change for the series moving forward. It has been reported that PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be skipped by the franchise entirely, opting to go current-gen only and with Nintendo consoles.
PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 are currently rumoured to be the platforms the game will release on. Although previous-gen consoles will likely be left out, Nintendo fans will have both a Switch version as well as a Switch 2 port to play.
Price and Editions
The reported pricing for MotoGP 26 has also been revealed prior to the games announcement. When releasing on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, the game will set players back $49.99.
PC gamers will have to spend $59.99, and both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S users can expect a price tag of $69.99. Physical copies of the game are also said to be on the way for console owners, as PC will be going digital-only.
We should learn about any special editions and bonuses as well as gameplay when the game is announced officially.
