Images of Call of Duty Modern Warfare Dark Edition have appeared on Twitter. This premium version of the game will come with working night-vision goggles and according to the since-removed listing on Gamestop, it will cost around $200.
Infinity Ward and Activision will finally reveal Call of Duty Modern Warfare multiplayer today, but before that we have some new details about one of the game's special versions.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare Dark Edition is one for the collectors and it comes with real-life, working night vision goggles, that you can see in the photo above.
Infinity Ward took to Twitter to officially unveil the gadget which looks pretty extreme and sturdy, it's basically the real thing. As you may recall, Infinity Ward and Activision did something similar with 2009's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which also included night-vision goggles with the expensive prestige edition.
Speaking about the money, Activision are yet to reveal Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Dark Edition so we'll have to wait a bit longer for official details. However, the Dark Edition of the game was available for pre-order on GameStop before the retailer quickly removed the listing from their website.
The price was set at $200 but it's possible that Gamestop put the number just as a placeholder. That being said, $200 doesn't sound unreasonable at all since collectors editions are sold for even higher prices these days. However, it is higher than Modern Warfare 2's prestige edition which had a price of $149.99 at launch.
More details about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Dark Edition are expected today during the multiplayer reveal.
