Fortnite or PUBG? PS4 or Xbox One? These are valid dilemmas but when it comes to choosing a game to lose friends over - nothing beats the FIFA vs. PES debate and now, Jesse Lingard and Wilfried Zaha have sparked it up in an official manner.

It all started when Manchester United's Jesse Lingard enquired as to the possibility of EA changing up his hairdo in FIFA. His tweet says that he's "had the same trim on your game for 99 years" and not long after, Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha latched onto Lingard's tweet saying "Mine too please while I'm here thank you".

It just so turns out it wasn't EA who responded but Konami, saying "Hey Wilf. You'll be looking [hot/on fire] in PES this year." Their reply featured a gif showing Zaha from a few angles, suggesting that Konami's got way better digital hairdressers than EA.

Peculiarly enough, EA seems to have decided not to take part in the discussion, in spite of the gratuitous amount of digs at their expense, both by twitter users and Konami themselves. After several users implied they've gone to get popcorn in anticipation of EA's reply, Konami delivered the ultimate stab, posting a gif of a frozen Jack Nicholson from the Shining. Ouch.

As much as everyone would've loved to witness some EA vs. Konami action, EA's response never came. To be perfectly frank, I can't say I'd have done any differently had I been in their shoes, because Konami really owned that tweet. Additionally, Konami showed they've got a human side to them, a segment which EA simply can't compete.

As you'd  expect from this type of discussion, the remainder of the tweet devolved into FIFA vs. PES arguments, although some assertions were pretty interesting. In fact, if you're still undecided on what game to buy, it may actually be wise sifting through the responses as many of them are quite accurate in what makes each of these games better or worse than its competitor.

Ultimately, we at AltChar like both FIFA and PES, which basically translates to endless bickering of which one is better and then playing until we hate each other. We can't resist these digs though.
