In League of Legends Patch 13.21, many champions are set to get some improvents of their stats. Varus, Morgana, LeBlanc are among several champions that will receive buffs.

Riot Games has revealed a significant set of buffs that are on the horizon for several champions in League of Legends with the release of patch 13.21. The previous patch, 13.20, was closely tied to the League of Legends Worlds 2023 event, during which the focus was primarily on balancing the game for professional play.

In patch 13.20, Riot introduced substantial changes to the game's meta, targeting adjustments to systems like minions, jungle, towers, and runes to reduce the pace of snowballing. These changes stirred controversy among players, especially with the rise of tank jungle champions and a subsequent weakening of many AD champions.

Riot's Lead Gameplay Designer, Riot Phroxzon, recently shared the details of patch 13.21 changes on Twitter. This upcoming patch will bring buffs to multiple champions, including Bel’Veth, Hecarim, K’Sante, Kha’Zix, Leblanc, Master Yi, Morgana, Tahm Kench, and Varus.

Here's a closer look at some of the champions set to receive buffs in patch 13.21:

Bel’Veth

Bel’Veth, along with some other AD junglers, suffered from the Smite changes in the meta. Players who relied on Gustwalker or Blue Smite were similarly affected. In response, Bel’Veth and other AD junglers are being buffed to compensate for these changes.

Hecarim

Hecarim, who previously benefited from Blue Smite, saw his win rate decline due to the Gustwalker nerfs and earlier adjustments to his kit. The recent patch did not help, leading to a weakening of Hecarim in solo queue. Consequently, Riot is introducing buffs to Hecarim to bolster his performance.

K’Sante

In the previous patch, K’Sante underwent significant changes aimed at making him more accessible to average players. However, these changes inadvertently removed some of his skill expression. K’Sante's win rate dropped to 46.37%, positioning him as one of the weakest top lane champions. In response, K’Sante will receive buffs in patch 13.21.

Kha’Zix

Riot Games
Kha'Zix, has banished his rival Rengar from the S-Tier with dominating performance. Though he received no direct buffs, his opposition's weakening combined with strong itemization choices has propelled him to the top.

Kha’Zix's performance has been impacted by smite and objective nerfs, along with a Duskblade nerf that affected his damage output and power spikes. Despite a respectable 7.6% pick rate, his win rate sits at 47.79%. Consequently, Riot is planning to buff Kha’Zix in the upcoming patch.

LeBlanc

In the previous patch, Riot nerfed LeBlanc to address issues with her AD build. Although they increased her AP ratio, it didn't make her a viable pick, making her the weakest mid-laner with a win rate of 45.38%. As a result, substantial buffs for LeBlanc are planned for patch 13.21.

Master Yi

Master Yi has struggled in the meta since itemization changes in the mid-season patch. The meta's shift towards favoring snowball champions did briefly benefit Master Yi. However, subsequent Riot nerfs to this playstyle have made it challenging for Master Yi to carry games effectively. Consequently, Master Yi is set to receive substantial buffs in patch 13.21.

Morgana

Morgana received notable buffs in the last patch, particularly related to her ultimate and monster damage. Riot is now enhancing her jungle strength even further, raising the possibility of her resurgence as a meta jungler.

Tahm Kench

Last season, Riot implemented a series of nerfs to Tahm Kench to redirect him to his intended support role, away from top lane. While some players turned to Tahm Kench when the tank meta emerged earlier this year, he remained an infrequent pick in top lane. Surprisingly, Riot is now buffing him for the top lane, potentially reviving him as a favored top lane choice.

Varus

Varus has experienced significant fluctuations in his standing within the game, ranging from being a top-tier ADC to one of the weakest picks. Despite improvements in itemization, he still lags behind other ADCs in terms of win rate. Riot is addressing this issue by introducing much-needed buffs for Varus in patch 13.21.
