Players earn Fame points through match performance and in-game actions, which unlock special augments and visual enhancements.

League of Legends Arena game mode now features new mechanics from Riot Games along with improved quality-of-life elements and a Fame progression system.

Through different game activities players accumulate Fame which unlocks special augments and visual enhancements along with re-roll abilities during their advancement.

How the Fame System works

Arena matches reward players with Fame points calculated from match performance and additional bonuses for specific in-game actions.

  • Players receive 10 Fame points for each round played which increases by 20% per each teammate in a pre-made party.
  • Players receive +100 Fame points for achieving three consecutive victories within the same game.
  • +30 Fame for selecting the "Bravery" option.
  • Players earn +10 Fame points when they select the "Crowd Favorite" augment option.

Bonus Fame Points:

  • Players receive 50 Fame points when they choose to play a champion for the first time.
  • Players earn +150 Fame points for their first victory with a champion.
  • Players receive +200 Fame when they win first place using a champion for the first time.
  • Players can accumulate multiple Fame rewards during one game because these achievements do not require different matches to complete.

Arena Fame Levels and Rewards

The Arena progression system includes nine different levels which provide players with augments alongside additional re-rolls and visual enhancements.

  • Upon reaching 100 Fame players will gain access to the Overflow Augment.

Overflow: Your abilities have doubled mana cost but grant you a 10% damage increase plus an additional 0.5% per 100 max mana.

  • Earn 1300 Fame points to acquire the Hat Trick Augment.

Hat Trick: The Hat Trick Augment lets you collect three hats while reducing the price of Cappa Juice by 350 gold. If your HP falls below 30% you receive both a movement speed boost and a shield while losing one hat each time the ability activates with a 3-second cooldown period.

At Level 3 players receive their first Matchup Intro Upgrade after earning 1500 Fame points.

  • Upon reaching level 4 with 2000 Fame you will unlock the Slow and Steady Augment.

Slow and Steady: Establishes your attack speed at 0.625 and translates each attack speed bonus percentage into 0.75 bonus attack damage.

The player receives one additional re-roll ability at Level 5 which requires 2500 Fame.

This upgrade at Level 6 costing 3000 Fame enhances Matchup Intro with its second enhancement stage.

  • At Level 7 players receive 4000 Fame which grants them access to the "And My Axe!" ability.

The "And My Axe!" Augment enables Olaf’s Q ability (Undertow) to automatically strike the closest enemy target while applying adaptive damage alongside a slow effect and decreasing the target’s armor and magic resistance.

  • The Transmute: Chaos Augment becomes available at Level 8 which requires 5000 Fame.

The Transmute: Chaos Augment provides one random Gold augment together with one random Silver augment while ensuring no duplicates are given.

Level 9 provides players with the third and final Matchup Intro Upgrade at 9000 Fame.

Final Thoughts

Players need to put in extensive effort to reach Level 9 since it requires around 100 games to fully maximize Fame rewards.
