King Art Games have been teasing bits and pieces from their upcoming real time strategy Iron Harvest, showing off Polania, Saxony and Rusviet's basic infantry units and resource buildings, courtesy of Jakub Rozalsky's imagination.
That's not to take away anything from the King Art Games, who seem to be doing a wonderful job turning Rozalsky's vision of the World of 1920+ into reality. Well, gaming reality at least.
The dev says these are all the basic infantry units we'll be seeing in Iron Harvest. There will however be additional specialists, along with the heroes themselves, most of whom are infantry to begin with.
The game's Facebook page teased Polanian mines and oil pumps, so you could say Iron Harvest's resource buildings are coming along well, badum-tss. The video below shows the buildings churning along, producing resources, which Polanians will be using to blow the other two out of proverbial water.
Interestingly enough, after the ruckus caused by Battlefield V and its android female fighters, Iron Harvest received its share of accuracy debate as well. Namely, some users enquired as to the lack of females among the basic infantry units, once again inviting arguments of whether such a thing would be historically accurate.
Iron Harvest already has female units mind you, although they're exclusively specialists and heroes. King Art Games ended this discussion by simply pointing out how infantry units change in function and consequently the looks as they pick up specialised objects on the battlefield. Therefore, it would be weird if they changed to females mid fight, which seems to be as legit as explanation as any.
Ultimately, Iron Harvest is progressing along well, with the game slated for release in late 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
