The Polish studio behind Yet Another Zombie Survivors is back with a brand-new dark fantasy action-platformer. Their next project, Hellreaper, just received its first trailer, and it’s already making waves online.

Polish developer Awesome Games Studio, best known for Yet Another Zombie Survivors, has officially unveiled its next project called Hellreaper, a dark fantasy action-platformer where players take on the role of a fallen angel reborn as a mystical executioner.

I have to admit, I only found out about Hellreaper last night while scrolling on Reddit but it was love at first sight - Hellreaper looks so good it's already one of my most anticipated games.

The debut trailer for Hellreaper premiered last week and has already generated strong reactions online, with plenty of excitement around its smooth animations and stunning art style, which reminds me of Darkest Dungeon and Tails of Iron. But don't let me tell you about it, check it yourself below:

Looks good? Stick around for more juicy details.

In Hellreaper, Heaven’s balance is under threat as the hordes of Hell grow stronger. To fight back, the celestial forces sacrifice one of their own High Angels - giving birth to the Hellreaper, an unstoppable weapon of divine retribution. Guided by a mysterious being known as The Three Sisters, players will uncover the dark secrets of Hell’s corruption - and possibly run into a few cats along the way.

According to the developers, Hellreaper promises fast-paced, punishing combat, tight controls, and a mix of hand-crafted and procedurally generated levels. Players will collect and combine relics to build unique playstyles, unlock new abilities, and progress permanently with each run - ensuring every attempt feels rewarding and different.

Hellreaper is currently in development but it doesn't look like it will come out anytime soon. While you wait, wishlist the game on SteamXbox, and PlayStation.
